Sycamore Developments provide a turnkey service for the design and build of bespoke new properties. Whether you are a family looking to build a new home or an investment company developing properties for resale, we have a comprehensive range of services that can be tailored to suit your requirements.

The company was incorporated in 2000 where the sole director and share holder Julian Hutt reinvested the proceeds from the sale of an IT company into property development. In the initial few years the company purchased and converted large old and dated properties into apartments. It was in 2004 when the company made the transition into the new build arena. The first few projects were the companies own investments and the properties ranged from three bedroom semis through to seven bedroom executive homes. The start of 2005 brought a new challenge; the company was approached by a client to construct their new seven thousand square foot family home. This challenge saw the birth of our Design & Build Service which dominates our company’s turnover today.

We are a registered NHBC builder and developer who can apply the necessary warranty currently demanded by the Council of Mortgage Lenders (CML) for all new build properties. In 2005 we received the Master Builder Of The Year Award from the Federation of Master Builders (FMB) in the "Best New Homes" category as winner for the London region and subsequently nationally across Great Britain.

Our philosophy is simple, whatever design you choose, whatever materials you want to use, whatever changes you want to make, whatever colour you paint, it's entirely up to you. Our management fees are fixed and agreed in advance. All your material and sub contractor costs are totally transparent and there are absolutely no additions made to those costs at all. We even pass on any additional developer/main contractor discounts we are offered to the client. When operating this way you won't have the inevitable and often uncomfortable situation that occurs between the client and the builder about costs, materials and responsibility.

To date we have completed and are currently producing over eighteen very high specification new homes. These range from 4000 sq ft to over 12000 sq ft and are for a variety of clients, many of whom are very high profile. These projects amass a total Gross Development Value of over 40 million pounds and we’re pleased to say that our new company flagship property is one of them. We are very proud to say that we have not had a single dissatisfied client. In fact on numerous occasions we have been asked to design and build a second project and even been involved in Joint Ventures with a few.
